In Deuteronomy 2:7, we read:
“For the LORD thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand: he knoweth thy walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the LORD thy God hath been with thee; thou hast lacked nothing.”
This verse shows how God blessed the Israelites during their 40 years in the wilderness. Even in tough times, God took care of them. Let’s explore three ways God blessed their work and how we can seek His blessings today.
1. God’s Provision in Difficult Times
The Israelites wandered in the wilderness for forty years, a period marked by scarcity and uncertainty. Yet, during this time, God ensured they lacked nothing. Their clothes didn’t wear out, and they always had food and water. This teaches us that God’s provision isn’t limited by our circumstances. Even in challenging times, He can provide for our needs.
2. God’s Presence in Our Daily Walk
The verse also highlights that God was with the Israelites throughout their journey. His presence guided and protected them. When we acknowledge God’s presence in our daily lives, we align ourselves with His will, making our efforts more fruitful. Recognizing that He is with us can transform our approach to work and challenges.
3. God’s Blessing on Our Efforts
God blessed all the works of the Israelites’ hands, even in the wilderness. This shows us that when we commit our work to God and operate under His guidance, He can bless our efforts beyond our expectations. It’s not solely about our skills or resources but about His favor upon our endeavors.
By embracing these simple principles of faith into our life, we open ourselves to the fullness of God’s blessings in every aspect .
