Why I Love My Church

1.  I learn how to serve Jesus

“Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” – Matthew 11:29

2.  I get to serve Jesus

“Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.” – Psalm 100:2

For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.” – Psalm 84:10

3.  My kids get to serve Jesus

“But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” – Matthew 19:14

4.  I get to give to Christ’s work

“Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him.” – 1 Corinthians 16:2

5.  I’m fed by the Word of God every week

“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.” – 1 Peter 2:2

“Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;” – Psalm 92:12-15

6.  I’m surrounded by people who love the Lord

“We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren.” – 1 John 3:14

7.  I can bring my friends and they hear the gospel

“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” – Mark 16:15

8.  My family is growing in the Lord together

“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” – Joshua 24:15

9.  We sing songs that lift up Jesus

“Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.” – Ephesians 5:19

10. I am encouraged  to do more for the Lord every time I go

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. – Hebrews 10:25

11. God uses the church to encourage me when I am down

“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”

2 Corinthians 1:3–4

12. God still uses me even though I fall short

“But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise.” – 1 Corinthians 1:27

13. My kids are making Christian friends

14. The truth is preached straight from the Bible

“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.” – 2 Timothy 4:2

15. I get to see lives changed by Jesus

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17
