Soul Winning Isn’t Sales—It’s a Wedding

Proverbs 11:30 says, “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.”

Soul winning isn’t about closing a sale.

That word “winneth” in Hebrew doesn’t mean to pressure someone. It means to take, to receive, or even to marry. It’s the same word used when a man takes a wife. That changes everything.

Paul said in 2 Corinthians 11:2, “For I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.”

When we win a soul, we’re not making a deal—we’re helping someone meet their Groom. We’re introducing them to Jesus and walking them into a relationship, not a transaction.

Ephesians 5:25 says, “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.”

Jesus didn’t sell anyone anything. He gave Himself in love. That’s how He draws us. And that’s how we’re supposed to reach others—through love, care, and truth.

You don’t rush a wedding. You don’t force someone to the altar. You win them by showing them how much Jesus loves them. And when they say yes, they’re not signing up for religion. They’re entering into a relationship that changes everything.

So next time you’re soul winning, remember:

You’re not just talking someone into something.

You’re walking them down the aisle
