Big Things Start Small

Luke 13:18-19 Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it? [19] It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.

In Luke 13:18-19, Jesus said the Kingdom of God is like a grain of mustard seed. It’s tiny when planted, but it grows into a big tree where birds come to rest in its branches.

That’s how God works. He takes small beginnings and turns them into something great. A single act of faith, a quiet prayer, a small church, or a single soul saved: God can grow any of these into something far beyond what we imagine.

Sometimes we get discouraged when things look small. Maybe your ministry feels slow, or your witness seems unnoticed. But remember, every mighty tree began as a seed. God doesn’t need size to make an impact, He just desires surrender.

Plant your seed, trust God, and keep tending the soil. One day, you’ll look back and see that what once seemed small became something that gave others shade, strength, and rest.

Never underestimate what God can do with a little faith in His hands.
